Antoinette Taus is a Filipino-American award-winning actor, singer, host, humanitarian, and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Long a fixture in the entertainment industry in the Philippines, she has spent much of her life in the media spotlight and is recognized as one of the most influential role models of the youth of her generation.

UNEP Goodwill Ambassador
Antoinette Taus is a Filipino-American award-winning actor, singer, host, and the first-ever National Goodwill Ambassador for the Philippines designated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). With over three decades of experience in media and entertainment, she brings her platform as a performer, television host, and content creator to amplify the UNEP mission, reaching diverse audiences across Asia Pacific and beyond. It is this rare combination of cultural influence, media reach, and genuine environmental commitment that led to her designation as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
As a passionate advocate of the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), Antoinette leads programs centered on solutions focused on sustainability, climate action, women empowerment, inclusive resilience, and the circular economy. She works to unite more people in action towards creating a better future for all, without leaving anyone behind.

2026 Bellagio Center Resident
Antoinette was selected to join the globally competitive Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Residency, a program of trailblazers and changemakers from over 140 countries since 1959. At the Bellagio Center, Antoinette advanced the development of a feature film inspired by true stories from communities most impacted by the climate crisis in the Philippines. The project seeks to humanize climate change through powerful storytelling that centers resilience, dignity, and lived experience.
By elevating frontline voices, the film aims to strengthen awareness, mobilize support, and advance climate justice, while driving greater investment in climate resilience initiatives across the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region, contributing to more inclusive and community-centered climate solutions.
This prestigious program has hosted thousands of artists, policymakers, scholars, authors, practitioners, and scientists from all over the world across every discipline, including more than 85 Nobel Laureates. Previous guests include Maya Angelou, Dikgang Moseneke, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Mary Robinson, and more.

CORA Founder & Executive Director
CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation) is a Philippine-based nonprofit advancing climate action, biodiversity conservation, the circular economy, and women's economic empowerment. Through coastal clean-ups, mangrove rehabilitation, ecosystem restoration, humanitarian response, and livelihood programs, CORA works alongside local communities, government bodies, the private sector, and a vast volunteer network to build a more resilient and just future for people and the planet.
Since 2016, CORA's programs have reached more than 30 million people through impact storytelling, educational media, and strategic social behavior change campaigns. Its programs have engaged over 27,000 volunteers, empowered over 70,000 women and youth leaders, diverted over 400,000 kilograms of waste from landfills and waterways, and planted over 10,000 mangroves, restoring critical ecosystems and strengthening community resilience across the Philippines.

National Geographic Asia
Changemaker
As a Changemaker for National Geographic Asia's "Planet Possible," Antoinette has used her platform to speak directly to the disproportionate climate burden carried by the Philippines and its coastal communities.
Featured in the initiative's inaugural Planet Possible Day, she spoke on the frontlines of climate change, addressing how the Philippines bears the brunt of extreme weather events despite contributing a fraction of global greenhouse gas emissions, and making the case for seeing frontline communities not as victims, but as leaders in climate resilience and restoration.
Critically, Antoinette's commitment extends well beyond storytelling. Through her nonprofit CORA, she has established on-the-ground programs including WoMangrove Warriors, a women-led coastal rehabilitation initiative in Baybay City, Leyte, as well as humanitarian response and livelihood programs for communities devastated by typhoons and climate disasters. This combination of narrative power and direct programmatic action continues to anchor her work across the Philippines and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

OXFAM Pilipinas
Ambassador for Resilience
Since 2019, Antoinette has served as Ambassador for Resilience for Oxfam Pilipinas, the Philippine arm of one of the world's leading international development organizations, working across more than 90 countries to address the root causes of poverty and inequality.
Recognized for her work at the intersection of climate action, humanitarian response, and community resilience, she was appointed to spotlight frontline communities most disproportionately impacted by climate-related disasters, particularly in the aftermath of super typhoons and natural calamities that continue to devastate the Philippines.
In this role, she has hosted major Oxfam events including World Humanitarian Day, championed women's rights and gender equity in climate response, and has consistently advocated for placing the most affected communities at the heart of all humanitarian decisions and actions. Her solidarity with Typhoon Yolanda survivors in Leyte and Eastern Samar remains one of the defining chapters of her ambassadorship, reflecting her broader commitment to resilience, dignity, and climate justice for the most vulnerable.
