Antoinette Taus is a Filipino-American award-winning actor, singer, host, humanitarian and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Long a fixture in the entertainment industry in the Philippines, she has spent much of her life in the media spotlight and is recognized as one of the most influential role models of the youth of her generation. Today, Antoinette collaborates with global media groups, such as National Geographic, FOX, Discovery andCNN, on projects centered on important social and environmental issues, and the solutions to create a better world for all. As host of the CNN Philippines show “Where To Next”, Antoinette explores the Philippines’ best-kept secrets as they place the spotlight on sustainable tourism and the importance of protecting the environment.

 

Combining her renown with her longstanding dedication to the planet, Antoinette founded CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation) — a non-profit organization dedicated creating programs to help solve global issues centered on hunger, poverty, inequality and climate change. She is also the founder of The Sustainable Planet — business for good centered on improving the lives of indigenous peoples and those living in poverty in the Philippines through livelihood programs and biodiversity-friendly enterprises.

 

Antoinette passionately advocates for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), speaking at local communities, schools and international events about urgent global challenges pertaining to poverty, plastic pollution, climate change, gender equality, mental health, and sustainability. She is dedicated to empowering the youth to take the lead in the transition toward a future centered on the betterment of people and the planet, without leaving anyone behind.

Centered on volunteerism, community and inclusivity, CORA’s projects are focused on empowering our most vulnerable citizens, schools, women and the youth.
